In addition to organizing the group's meetings, she plans Paddle and Pedal, the BBQ and Bluegrass fundraiser, snowshoe hikes, the Thursday beverage booth at Franklin Park, and applies for grants.  She is most pleased that Shawano Pathways was able to use a Safe Routes to Parks grant and community input to have a user-activated light installed on Green Bay Street at the Mountain Bay Trail crossing.  

When not working on Shawano Pathways endeavors, she and her husband John enjoy hiking and biking, especially on Rail Trails through out the Midwest.

In addition to designing the group's website, he helps by volunteering with nearly all fundraisers and construction projects.  Most know him for his large wingspan during raffle sales.

When not working on Shawano Pathways activites, he enjoys biking, especially on the Wescott routes.

Born and raised in Appleton, he worked as a machinist 20 years and then as a machine tool teacher assistant at FVTC until retirement in 2008. He moved to Shawano Lake in 1991 based on his fond childhood memories of cottage camping on the lake and the Shawano area.

He was involved in Shawano Pathways from the start in 2009. He saw a need for improved safer roadways to accommodate bicyclists and pedestrians.
